Any time Fiona tackles an old song, you should pay attention - she usually knocks them out of the park.  I don’t think it’s wrong to say that she would have been a HUGE star back in the early days of the 20th century.

I can’t help but spam Fiona Apple tonight. Every time I hear something new from her I start obsessing over her older stuff. I’ve tweeted this vid before, but I’m reblogging this again because I so, so agree with the person who tumblred this vid. There are so many great pretenders out there attempting jazz standards, but nobody — and I really mean nobody — comes close to Fiona in terms of authenticity.

Great. I think I’m infatuated with her all over again.
